Our Family Farms - helping to preserve a way of life

Welcome to Our Family Farms of Western Massachusetts! We're a cooperative organization of local dairy farmers working together to offer a fresh alternative to the milk drinking people of Western Mass. Most of our farms have been in the same family for generations. We joined together as the Pioneer Valley Milk Marketing Cooperative in the spring of 1997 with the hope of keeping these family farms operating for hundreds of years more.

All of our members are small, family run farms. We milk Holsteins, Jerseys, Brown Swiss, Milking Shorthorns, Ayshires, and Normandies. We are committed to providing the very best tasting milk we can to the people of Western Massachusetts.

Our Family Farms is located in the historic Snow's Dairy on School Street in Greenfield. Several of the member farms shipped milk for processing in this plant in the 1950's and 1960's. Today, the plant produces premium Snow's Ice Cream and super premium Bart's Ice Cream.

We formed this partnership of local farmers, processors, distributers, retailers and consumers to bring a high quality product to market - and in the process we are returning dollars back into the community and reaching out to you, our neighbors, in a new and exciting way. We hope that you have already tried Our Family Farms milk and that you will continue to enjoy it as it becomes available in more stores throughout the Valley.
